The Great Blue Herons start their autumn migration from mid-September to the end of October.

They sometimes travel alone, or in groups made up of three to twelve birds.

Sometimes gatherings of a hundred or so Great Blue Heron can be observed.

They stop on the way to feed near bodies of water.
